
Ann Griffiths has been involved with education for over twenty years as an Education Social Worker. She has been an active member of NASWE for most of those years, and has represented the ESW service on many educational, social services, voluntary, and government panels both locally and nationally.
Ann is a member of the NASWE National Council, and was President for 2005/2006
She has actively participated at many NASWE, Annual Conference and has also organised an all Wales NASWE Conference in 2002, on the theme of 'Looking beyond the Causes of Truancy and Disaffection'.
Ann is also a member of the NASWE Publications Group and the Policy Group, and has represented NASWE on the National Assembly for Wales Attendance Task and Finish Group. Updating Government policies, in supporting children and young people to access appropriate education paths.
Ann is currently seconded from her ESW post in Denbighshire to the Welsh Assembly Government as Project Manager for School Attendance Initiatives. Part of her responsibility is to take forward the 16 recommendations identified by the Task and Finish Group.
